4 Days Budongo & Murchison Falls, Murchison falls National Park is the oldest and largest national park in Uganda. The park lies on the shore of Lake Albert, in Northwest Uganda and it is bisected by the Victoria Nile. The park is famous for having the most powerful waterfall in the world. The pressure is so great that the ground trembles around it. Park wildlife includes hippos, elephants, chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi, and a large forest with traditional tree like mahogany.
Day 1:
Our guide will lead you to a 5-6 hour drive to the might falls through Luwero triangle which one the historical town to the largest conservation in Uganda. Murchison falls host about 78 species of mammal and about 380 species of birds which include migrant and resident bird. You will visist the top falls before you check in into your chosen accommodation. After dinner you will go for an a night game drive which will take about three to four hours . Your will be accompanied by an armed UWA ranger for your safety to such for animal like Leopard, Lion, Hyena, large density herd of antelopes, Giraffe among others.
Day 2:
After an early morning breakfast, you may choose to relax in the morning or go for another morning game drive to see animals including hippos, elephants, different bird species, antelopes in savanna grassland and many elephants feeding on Boras’s palm. After your game drive you will then disembark to your lodge for lunch before you go for a boat cruise on the Nile River where you can see large bars of crocodiles waiting to stalk on thirsty animals. During your boat ride you watch several bird species such as red throated Bee-eater (Merops bulocki), pied king fisher (Ceryle rudi), Africa jacana (Actophilornis africanus) and many other aquatic species all the way bottom where water swirls.
Day 3:
After breakfast you will proceed to Budongo forest with an enroute game drive for about 100kms to check in your lodge. After lunch you will be briefed by the ranger about what to expect and how to conduct yourself around these primates, a. Once the chimpanzees have been found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them to observe how they live, you will be allowed to take photos as much as you can without flash. Budongo forest hosts about 180 forest bird species which include Pulvell illadopsis, white crested Turacco and many other birds.
Day 4
After breakfast and a hike on the hills, you will prepare to leave for Kampala. The journey to Kampala has a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where visitors can engage in one last activity of Rhino Tracking.
