5 QUEEN ELIZABETH, SEMLIKI AND KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
On this 5 Days Semuliki & Queen Elizabeth safari, you will travel to Semliki national park is located in Bundibugyo district in the western region of Uganda, home to the largest Sempaya hot springs. The host about 30 endemic bird species and different primates that overlap form Congo. Among the rare birds in Semliki these include, Nkuluge Rail, Yellow Throated cuckoo, Red rumped Tinker bird, African Peculate, White crested Hornbill among other.
Day 1
You will be picked up the tour guide from the airport who will be briefing you about the trip along the way to Queen Elizabeth national park in western Uganda. There will be stopovers the Equator to buy souvenirs and take photos and visit Igongo cultural center where you also have lunch. On arrival, you will check into your accommodation rest and later in the day have an evening game drive.
Day 2
You will an early morning breakfast before meeting the guide to start on yet another explosive adventure. You will start with a game drive or lion tracking experience in the Kasenyi plains. After your lunch you will visit Katwe which received water from small streams with no outlet salt mines where you will meet the locals engaging in salt mining with traditional methods. You will enjoy an eyeing catching lake Nyamunuka where animals congregate to nurse their wounds.
Day 3
You will check out of the lodge after morning breakfast to travel west to Semliki national park located on Uganda’s border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will enjoy a nature walk to Sempaya hot springs. The hot springs are categorized as male and female with the female boiling higher at 2meters. Here you will find both the visitors and the locals boiling eggs, matooke (bananas) and tea. You the transfer to Kibale national park for your accommodation which may include guest house, camps lodges or luxury suits.
Day 4-5 Days Semuliki & Queen Elizabeth safari
You check in Kibale national park for Chimpanzee trekking or habituation. The experience takes one hour for trekking unlike habitation which takes the whole day. The habitation process can only be done in Tanzania and Uganda unlike Rwanda where it’s not allowed for conservation reasons. After your activity you may choose to have an evening relaxation or Bigodi swamp walk.
Day 5
Embark on a journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Mityana for lunch and the proceeding to the airport.
